Andrew is a senior IT and network security consultant with experience supporting organisations across the UK, Europe, and the US. He has served as a technology consultant for the R&D division of a leading UK consumer electronics company. Before joining Flawless Money, Andrew was a security specialist at Oxford University, working for the Computer Emergency Response Team (OxCERT). He was responsible for incident response, developing incident classification schemes and playbooks, and creating disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

He served as a member of the European Payments Council’s Euro Retail Payments Board’s Working Group on SEPA migration, and previously chaired the fraud and security subcommittee of a leading trade body for electronic money.

Andrew began his career as an academic. He was a principal lecturer at Kingston University and a founding member of the Network and Communications Research Group. He has acted as an external examiner for MSc programmes and professional examining boards and has published more than twenty papers on wireless networking, network security, location-based technologies, pattern recognition and filed a patent on HCI. He is a programme committee member and has been a keynote speaker at the IEEE Cyber Science series of conferences.

Andrew holds a doctorate in artificial intelligence, specialising in modelling visual cognition and applying graph and pattern-matching algorithms to handwriting recognition. He also holds an MSc in Human-Computer Interaction and is a member of ISACA.
